Windows Media Player makes automatic playlists by searching your library for a list of artists. Currently, you have to input each artist by hand. For a large list of bands, inputting each artist by hand takes quite a bit of time. But then I stumbled across these <A HREF=http://blogtown.portlandmercury.com/2008/01/nochella.php>beautiful comma-separated lists of bands playing at Coachella</A>. I copied the list for each day, pasted it into Notepad, saved it as, for example, coafri.csv, uploaded it using the upload form on this page, and got playlists for <A HREF=http://jamidwye.freeshell.org/coafri.wpl>Friday</A>, <A HREF=http://jamidwye.freeshell.org/coasat.wpl>Saturday</A>, and <A HREF=http://jamidwye.freeshell.org/coasun.wpl>Sunday</A> of Coachella. <P> <B>SXSW Artists</B><BR> Making the SXSW playlist required that I create a CSV in <A HREF=http://download.openoffice.org/>OpenOffice</A>. Using the import function in OpenOffice, I trimmed off the parenthetical band hometowns, which would have made the playlist utterly useless.
